Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by a variety of sources. They can run from gasoline, LP gas or liquid propane, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel preferred for various uses. There are various facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled anytime they require. In other places, the facility would have spare LP cylinders which are able to be changed out when the machine should be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must really be careful so as to avoid possible serious injuries. Like for example: be certain to put on the correct safety equipment such as heavy gloves, goggles or safety glasses. Turn off the ignition of the forklift before changing out the tank. Then, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed securely. Utilize your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Don't forget that it will turn in the opposite direction of a normal connection and never use a metal tool or any type of wrench on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
